With our engineering and fabrication experience, design/build projects are a natural fit for us. We are capable of preparing plans to meet all objectives and specifications. Sometimes designs require simplifying to fit a budget. Our experience and expertise plays an important role in providing a comprehensive plan to complete the job.
Industry Leading Models
Building Information Models (BIMs) are an important part of every project. Creating an accurately-detailed 3D structural model makes every project run smoothly and more efficiently. We rely on the 3D model drawings during installation to guide the process.
Tri-State Iron Works uses Tekla Structures BIM software. Tekla is an industry leader and sets the standard for building information modeling covering the process from design to fabrication, erection, and construction management.

Fully-Equipped
With a qualified and experienced workforce, Tri-State Iron Works maintains a fully-equipped fleet of trucks capable of handling various tasks at installation sites. Our inventory includes all the necessary tools, welders, and rigging equipment to manage both expected and unexpected work challenges. Many projects may encounter unforeseen obstacles that could potentially impede progress, but we are well-prepared to address almost any issue with our expertise, creativity, and the right equipment.
In fact, we often find ourselves entrusted with tasks beyond our usual service scope. We have successfully assisted in projects involving fiberglass, in-bed grating, manhole installation, and more. There are instances where we receive a ‘come help us’ call to step in and complete a job after the structural work is finished. In such cases, we take charge of the miscellaneous and unfinished tasks to ensure the successful completion of the project.
We also take great care and place significant emphasis on site protection and overall appearance for each project. While cleaning up is a standard aspect of our job, we strive to go the extra mile. Many times, our work takes place in the vicinity of other structures—whether man-made or natural—that require protection. Whether it involves operating cranes and heavy equipment in a manner that safeguards adjacent work, structures, trees, etc., or implementing protective measures like plywood sheets to cover poured concrete, we ensure meticulous care of the sites where we operate.
